A certificate card is issued to prove coverage. It is sent to all Manulife members and is a confirmation for enrolment or for any changes made.

How do employees know the claim is paid?
A payment advice is sent to your employer once the claim is completed. This will be sent to each employee by HR, along with reimbursement details for all medical expenses incurred and submitted during a specific period.

If you have a query about claim payments, what should you do?
Go to your HR department and check if your plan administrator has received payment advice from Manulife. If not, phone us on: 2510-5797.

If you need emergency medical help when abroad, what should you do?
Can contact our Medical Emergency Assistance Company on (852) 2854-2762 and the company will help you with doctor referrals, hospital deposits, credit, etc.

Who is eligible for a temporary credit limit upgrade for hospital expenses?
Only Manulife Credit Card (with Mediplus) holders are entitled to a temporary credit limit upgrade for hospital expenses. Manulife Card (with Mediplus) already had a designated limit, hence, an upgrade is not possible.

How is the Mediplus credit card used at clinics or hospitals?
You simply pay your fee by presenting the Manulife Credit Card (with Mediplus) or Manulife Card (with Mediplus) at registration and then sign a voucher.

Does the cardholder need to file reimbursement claims?
No. If the fee can be covered by the credit limit (for Manulife Credit Card with Mediplus or Manulife Card with
Mediplus) there is no need to make a reimbursement. However, if there is a shortfall between the amount on the card and a further payment, then receipts need to be submitted for reimbursement.
