Opening an Account & Initial Investment

What is the account opening procedure?
Complete the Account Opening Form , Risk Profile Questionnaire for Investors in Unit Trusts and Mutual Funds and Suitability Check Table and send it to us with a cheque for your investment amount and a copy of your Hong Kong ID. (Please make sure the cheque issuer is the applicant.)

What is the minimum initial investment?
Manulife Global Funds: Share Class A  - HKD1,560,000 or its equivalent in major foreign currencies. Share Class AA  - HKD20,000.
 
How can I pay for my investments in Manulife Global Fund?

If I am a U.S. person/ Canadian resident, can I invest in Manulife Funds?
Sorry, the shares of the Company (the shares) have not been registered under the laws of the United States of America and Canada, the shares may not be offered or sold directly or indirectly to any US persons or any Canadian nationals or residents for the time being.
 
Can I open an account under the company name?
Yes, but you need to provide the following documents:
- certified true copy of the company's Memorandum and Articles of Association
- Certified true copy of a certificate of Incorporation and Business Registration Certificate (if any)
- a list of authorized signatories
- copies of IDs of directors, Name of shareholders own more than 10% shares capital
- Corporation Resolution
 
Can I invest in the form of a savings plan?
After making an initial investment, you are eligible to join our saving plan - Manulife Direct Saver. The minimum direct debit amount is as little as HK$1,000 per month per fund. You need to have a HKD bank account in Hong Kong for the direct debit.
