As one of the leading insurance companies in Hong Kong, we reaffirm our commitment to putting our customers and employees first, and to giving the people of this city the backup they deserve in these challenging times. Now, more than ever, we are by your side.

We introduced the following additional benefits and expedited claim procedures to further broaden the scope of its protection for the insured of Individual financial product policies and covered members of Group medical policies with hospitalization benefits, including existing and new customers (“Covered Client”).

Better Coverage

From January 24, 2020 until April 30, 2020 (“Coverage Period”), we will provide customers with these additional coverage*:

  2. If the Covered Client is required to undergo a mandatory quarantine in hospital or isolation center as imposed by the Hong Kong or Macau government within the Coverage Period, we will provide an one-off cash benefit of HK$3,000;

  3. If the Covered Client is unfortunately diagnosed with novel coronavirus infection within the Coverage Period, we will provide a one-off cash benefit equivalent to HK$2,000 as a financial support, considering that the client’s family member(s) may be required to undergo home isolation.

  • Premium due date is between January 1 to March 31, 2020; AND

  • Premium paid within 90 days from Premium Due Date

  • No action by you is required.

  • You will receive Premium Overdue Notice and reminder SMS as usual, and we will conduct regular review on lapsed policies with premium paid and arrange reinstatement for eligible policies.

  • After reinstatement, confirmation letter will be issued to you and your advisor

Claims Arrangement

  • During the 90-day payment period, any claim happened prior to payment date will be accepted but the claim application should only be submitted after outstanding premium is paid and the policy has been reactivated by Manulife.
