Information relating to the HKSAR Government’s Employment Support Scheme

The government announced the Employment Support Scheme (ESS) to provide time-limited financial support to employers to retain their employees. Online applications for the first tranche of subsidies will open from 25 May to 14 June 2020.

The latest information about ESS including Frequently Asked Questions can be found on the ESS portal at www.ess.gov.hk. If you have query about the ESS arrangement, application procedure, vetting and payment of subsidy etc, you may email to enquiry@employmentsupport.hk or call the ESS Hotline on 183 6122.

Alternatively, you may make an appointment to visit any of the ESS Help Desks located at:

  • Rm 1701, A T Tower, 180 Electric Road, North Point, Hong Kong Island
  • Room 2507, Prosperity Center, 25 Chong Yip Street, Kwun Tong
  • Room 1206, Chinachem Tsuen Wan Plaza, 455 Castle Peak Road, Tsuen Wan

To facilitate the application, please get prepared in advance by:

1. logging in our Employer Online Services website with your Manulife Customer Number (MCN) and PIN;

If you have forgotten your PIN, please request a new PIN immediately (the new PIN will be mailed to your company’s correspondence address in 5 business days). Once you get the new PIN, please make sure you can log in our Employer Online Services website with it.

2.after login, please register/update your email address and mobile number to ensure receiving our correspondences/updates; 

3.review your contribution data from the period between December 2019 to March 2020.
