Reader's Digest Trusted Brands Awards

One of Manulife’s great strengths is the recognition we repeatedly receive for our commitment to quality services and product excellence — as evidenced by the number of awards we win. Among the recent honours to have come our way are the following:

  • We have again topped the list of seven participants in the Sing Tao Excellent Services Brand Awards’ MPF Services Provider category — our third consecutive win in this category, having previously picked up three annual awards in the “Insurance” sector. The Sing Tao Excellent Services Brand Awards recognize organizations, through public voting, for their commitment to the highest levels of customer service.

  • Readers of Reader’s Digest have again chosen Manulife as the Gold winner in the Hong Kong insurance-company category of the Trusted Brands Awards — for the ninth consecutive year. In addition, we were victorious in the inaugural MPF category this year. Conducted by the international market-research firm IPSOS, the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Survey is one of the most representative and transparent consumer surveys in Asia, with results arrived at solely by consumers’ scoring of brand attributes. Some 8,000 respondents in Asia were quizzed, 1,000 of them from Hong Kong.

Michael Huddart, Manulife’s Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer in Hong Kong, said: “Manulife has established a strong foothold in Hong Kong by providing forward-thinking and personalized financial solutions that help consumers fulfill their goals in life. Being recognized as the ‘Trusted Brand’ and retirement partner of so many people testifies to the bonding we have successfully developed with consumers over the years. It is also a great compliment to our staff and agents, whose hard work and professionalism are keys to fostering this relationship.”

Luzia Hung, Vice President of Employee Benefits, Manulife (International) Limited, commented: “We are very proud of our 5,000-plus well-trained agents, 80 per cent of whom are registered MPF intermediaries. They give us a decided edge with their ability to provide quality and personalized services to our members anytime, anywhere.”
