Manulife announces 21 senior agency promotions
in recognition of their leadership and outstanding performance

Hong Kong – Manulife has promoted 21 agency leaders in Hong Kong and Macau in recognition of their outstanding performance and contribution to the Company’s continued success. This is a further testament to Manulife's ambition to accelerate agency growth and expansion.

Ivan Chan, Vice President and Chief Agency Officer, Manulife Hong Kong, said: “It is with great pleasure that we announce the promotion of 21 agency leaders at Manulife Hong Kong and Macau. They have been leading their teams to serve customers with personalised solutions and financial planning services. We are incredibly proud of our over 10,000 strong agency force, which has always been our core distribution channel and contributed 70% of our total annualized premium equivalent (APE) sales in 2020. They are all part of the Manulife winning team that’s committed to making our customers’ lives every day better.”

Chris Lo has been promoted to Regional Director. Mr. Lo joined Manulife in March 2004 and has since demonstrated his excellent leadership over the years, leading to his promotion in 2016 to Senior District Director. A frequent qualifier for overseas conferences, Mr. Lo has won a host of awards from the Company, including Senior District Director of the Year – Highest Growth Award (Direct) – 2nd Runner-up in 2018, the Champion of Senior District Director of the Year – Highest Production Award (Senior Agency Leader Award) in 2020, and the 2021 MDRT District Award. He has also garnered various industry leadership awards, such as GAMA's FLA and IMA awards, IDA-Manager Category awards, and the CIA500 Crown of Laurel Award.

Finsen Choi has been promoted to Regional Director. Since joining Manulife in 2018, Mr. Choi's notable determination in developing his team has seen him advance through the management ranks, resulting in his promotion to Regional Director in less than three years’ time. Well known for his accessible and communicative leadership style, he has played a pivotal role in motivating and nurturing many young and talented managers. His remarkable achievements have won him a host of awards from the Company, including the Champion of the Senior District Director of the Year in productivity (Direct), growth (Direct), and recruitment (Direct) in 2020, and the 2020-21 MDRT District Award. Mr. Choi is also a winner of many industry awards, such as IDA-Manager Category awards and GAMA's FLA, IMA and MAA awards.

There were promotions also for other senior agency leaders in recognition of their contribution to the Company’s growth. Henry Chow, Monita Ng, Dennis Wai, Fei Law, Carolina Dos Santos, Garvin Siu, and Sammy Chan have been promoted to Senior District Director.

Promoted to the position of District Director were: Chun-Ling Ho, Philip Cheng, Ricky CM Cheung, Mervin Chow, Carrie Chu, Stanley Wong, Don Ko, Sam Wong, Pen Or, Daniel Wong, Marco Yu, and Jones Wong.
