[UPDATED] Manulife is deeply saddened by the fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po and extends heartfelt sympathy to those affected and their families.
To provide immediate support for the community, Manulife will donate HK$20 million to the Hong Kong Red Cross Tai Po Fire Emergency Appeal. 

Additionally, Manulife colleagues and financial advisors have initiated a fundraising campaign to support affected communities.

Through these collective efforts, Manulife is committed to standing alongside the Hong Kong community and offering support to those who need it most during these difficult times.

Customer Support Initiatives
Manulife is proactively reaching out to all its customers residing in Wang Fuk Court and providing the following support measures:

- Emergency support hotline (2108 1333)
: Offering support for customers in need, including dedicated case follow-up and urgent assistance, access to medical and other necessary support and guidance on coverage and claims matters.
- Emergency cash: An emergency fund has been established to help impacted customers residing in Wang Fuk Court settle immediate, essential expenses of HK$5,000 per person.
- Case management: Our case management team will assist customers residing in Wang Fuk Court who are hospitalized with subsequent treatment and rehabilitation.
- Expedited claims and waived documentation: A dedicated team is ready to fast-track claims, and certain documentation requirements involving affected customers have been waived to simplify and accelerate the process.
- Coverage continuity: For affected customers with overdue premiums, policies will remain active to ensure uninterrupted insurance coverage during this difficult time.
- Extended grace period for individual life policies: Extended to 12 months, so affected customers can maintain their valuable coverage during this time.
- One-off interest waiver for loans on individual life policies: On existing and future policy loans, with the maximum waiver amount equal to one year’s accumulated interest.

Manulife extends sincere gratitude to the firefighters, police, healthcare professionals and the first responders involved in the rescue efforts for their bravery and dedication.

Manulife Hong Kong announces senior agency promotions recognizing strong leadership and outstanding performance

Hong Kong – Manulife has promoted 46 agency leaders in Hong Kong and Macau in recognition of their outstanding performance. This is the highest number of promotions ever made by Manulife Hong Kong and Macau, and a further demonstration of the Company's ambition to accelerate the growth and expansion of its more than 11,600-strong agency force.

Ivan Chan, Chief Agency Officer for Manulife Hong Kong and Macau, said: “These promotions reflect the high standards and wide range of professional skills of our agency force, as well as its resilience in overcoming last year's challenges. They also highlight our commitment to recognizing the incredible leaders within our agency, who have been boldly scaling new heights through an unwavering focus on making our customers’ lives every day better.”

Dominic Sin
Senior Regional Director

Dominic Sin has been promoted to Senior Regional Director. He joined Manulife in March 2018 as Senior District Director and he has since performed exceptionally in production, recruitment and team management, resulting in his promotion to Regional Director in 2019. He is a winner of multiple awards from the Company, including Senior District Director of the Year in 2018, when he won the champion title for Highest Production Award (Senior Agency Leader & Direct), Highest Productivity Award (Senior Agency Leader & Direct) and Highest Recruitment Award (Senior Agency Leader & Direct). In 2020 and 2021 he was named Regional Director of the Year, winning the champion title for Highest Production Award, Highest Growth Award and Highest Recruitment Award (Senior Agency Leader & Direct). He also earned the MDRT District Award for four years in a row from 2019 to 2022. Externally, Mr. Sin is a winner of many industry honours, such as LUAHK’s Distinguished Manager Award (2019-22), IDA-Manager Category's Platinum Award, and GAMA’s FLA, IMA and MAA awards.

Elaine Sze
Regional Director

Elaine Sze has been promoted to Regional Director. Since joining Manulife in August 1996, she has been deeply committed to the development of her agency team. She was promoted to Senior Branch Manager in 2008, District Director in 2012 and Senior District Director in 2018. She has won many awards from the Company, including Senior District Director of the Year in 2019, when she became a champion for Highest Recruitment Award (Direct). In 2021, she was honoured with the Senior District Director of the Year – Highest Growth Award (Senior Agency Leader & Direct), winning both the champion and 1st runner-up titles. Ms. Sze has been named a winner of the MDRT District Award for six years, and a recipient of many industry awards, such as IDA-Manager Category’s Bronze Dragon, LUA’s QAA and QMA and GAMA's FLA awards.

Arthur Liu
Regional Director

Arthur Liu has been promoted to Regional Director, having joined Manulife in January 2003 as Corporate District Director. Throughout the years, he has shown excellent leadership in driving agency sales, achieving extraordinary results both at individual and team levels. For his remarkable sales achievements, he has been granted multiple awards from the Company, including Senior District Director of the Year (Direct) – Highest Production Award in 2010; Senior District Director of the Year (Direct) – Highest Production (2nd runner-up) in 2013; and Senior District Director of the Year (Senior Agency Leader & Direct) – Highest Production Award (champion) in 2021. He has also won the MDRT District Award for eight consecutive years since 2015.

Ricky Kwok-Hang Cheung
Regional Director

Ricky Kwok-Hang Cheung has been promoted to Regional Director. Since joining Manulife in January 2006, he has demonstrated excellent leadership, being promoted to District Director in 2016 and Senior District Director in 2018. As an MDRT member and an IQA qualifier over the past two years, he has won multiple awards both internally and externally, including Senior District Director of the Year (Direct) – Highest Growth Award (1st runner-up), Highest Production and Highest Recruitment Awards (both 2nd runner-up) in 2018; Highest Growth Award (Direct) (1st runner-up) in 2019; MDRT District Award in 2020; IDA-Manager Category awards; LUA’s QAA, QMA and QLA awards; GAMA’s FLA and IMA awards.

There were promotions also for other senior agency leaders in recognition of their contribution to the Company’s growth. Paul Tang, Daniel Li, Patricia Chan, Bryan Tze, Jeanny Chan, Ricky Wong, Marco Yu and Pat Chan have been promoted to Senior District Director.
