DBS Hong Kong and Manulife Hong Kong Celebrate 10 Years of Partnership with HKD1 Million Donation to Hospital Authority - Oasis to Support Healthcare Workers’ Mental Wellbeing

Anniversary celebration underscores shared commitment to customers, society and the wellbeing of approximately 90,000 healthcare workers

For Immediate Release

September 28, 2026

Hong Kong – DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (“DBS Hong Kong”) and Manulife (International) Limited (“Manulife Hong Kong”) announced a joint donation of HKD1 million to Oasis – Centre for Personal Growth & Crisis Intervention, under the Hong Kong Hospital Authority, to enhance mental health support for the city's dedicated healthcare workers. This significant contribution marks the 10th anniversary of their bancassurance partnership, a collaboration that has delivered comprehensive insurance and wealth management solutions to customers across Hong Kong for the past decade and reflects their shared commitment to supporting the communities they serve.

Over the past 10 years, DBS Hong Kong’s annual insurance sales through the bancassurance channel had delivered exceptional and sustained growth, with annualized premium equivalent (APE) sales increasing by over 400% since the launch of the partnership.* To commemorate this milestone, DBS Hong Kong and Manulife Hong Kong jointly make a HKD1 million donation to Oasis. The donation reflects the two organisations’ shared belief that a resilient healthcare workforce is fundamental to a healthy and thriving society and workforce.

Established under the Hospital Authority’s Corporate Clinical Psychology Services, Oasis is promoting psychological wellness and providing mental health support to the organisation’s workforce. As part of the centre’s wide range of staff psychological services, the enhanced “myOasis” mobile application will expand digital mental health resources for Hospital Authority staff, such as mindfulness self-compassion and sleep hygiene. The initiative will strengthen round-the-clock psychological support for approximately 90,000 healthcare workers across public hospitals in Hong Kong.

The DBS Hong Kong and Manulife Hong Kong partnership has grown significantly over the past decade amid rising demand for wealth management solutions among Hong Kong consumers. Hong Kong’s long-term insurance business continues to demonstrate strong demand, while wealth protection and retirement planning remain key priorities for individuals navigating a more complex economic environment.

Sebastian Paredes, Head of North Asia and Chief Executive Officer of DBS Hong Kong, said, “Our partnership with Manulife Hong Kong has been built on a shared commitment to putting customers first. Over the past decade, we have helped customers protect what matters most, plan for the future and pursue their long-term aspirations with greater confidence. As we celebrate this milestone, we are equally proud to extend our impact beyond financial services through our joint donation to support the mental wellbeing of Hong Kong’s healthcare workers. Their dedication to caring for our community deserves our collective support, and we hope this contribution will help strengthen their resilience and wellbeing for years to come."

Wilton Kee, Chief Executive Officer of Manulife Hong Kong and Macau, said, “As we celebrate 10 years of partnership with DBS Hong Kong, we are proud of the strong relationship and shared vision we have built together. By combining our respective strengths, we have delivered meaningful insurance and wealth solutions to help customers secure their financial futures. As we mark this important milestone, we are honoured to support an initiative that promotes the wellbeing of Hong Kong’s healthcare workforce. This donation reflects our commitment to creating lasting value for customers and society, while contributing to a healthier and more resilient community.”

The anniversary celebration concluded with a commemorative cheque presentation ceremony attended by senior management from DBS Hong Kong, Manulife Hong Kong and the Hospital Authority. Over the years, DBS Hong Kong and Manulife Hong Kong have expanded their suite of insurance, protection and wealth legacy solutions to meet evolving customer needs across different life stages. The partnership combines DBS Hong Kong's extensive customer franchise and digital banking capabilities with Manulife Hong Kong’s insurance expertise, with the aim of enabling customers to access holistic financial planning solutions through a seamless banking and insurance experience.
