Hong Kong — Manulife has continued its mission to get Hong Kong moving by once again presenting the city’s largest health and wellness festival, “IRIS: Your Escape with ManulifeMOVE”. Held on September 22-23, this festival encouraged people from all walks of life to stay healthy and active.

Over 5,500 health and fitness enthusiasts came together at Central Harbourfront for the two-day festival. They enjoyed a range of refreshing activities, including a choice of more than 80 yoga and fitness classes, plus workshops, talks and live performances.

The ManulifeMOVE interactive game zone attracted great interest and was a highlight for many. Designed to encourage exercise, the main game took participants on a bicycle ride, with stationary bikes in front of large digital screens to simulate a ride in the city. After the ride, all participants were rewarded with an energy drink, customized with their own photo taken and printed on site.

Isabella Lau, Chief Customer Officer of Manulife Hong Kong, said, “‘IRIS: Your Escape’ is a great match for ManulifeMOVE – our signature programme to reward customers for being active. ManulifeMOVE members have already accumulated 130 billion steps, sufficient to make 130 round trips to the Moon. We are excited to present this mega event once again to showcase to customers, employees and the whole community a great variety of ways to lead an active life. It was very rewarding to see how well the festival raised people’s spirits this past weekend.”

Manulife first sponsored “IRIS: Your Escape” in 2016. The festival seeks to make wellness practices part of everyday life for everyone, through yoga, meditation, music, the arts, health and wellness education and more.
