Manulife Hong Kong and Macau has recently identified fraudulent emails impersonating our company. The sender shown in these emails is: 香港MAFIEL <mafiel.sunwg-warpservices.co.za@shared1.ccsend.com>. Please note that these emails and their contents were not issued by Manulife.
The emails claim that a “premium recalculation has been completed” and that a credit balance is available for withdrawal. Recipients are asked to select a payment method via an online platform within 12 hours, failing which the amount will become invalid.
If you receive such emails, please do not click on any links or provide any personal or financial information, and delete the email immediately.
We have also observed similar fraudulent attempts through SMS. Please be cautious of suspicious SMS messages. Manulife will only send SMS to Hong Kong mobile numbers using a Registered SMS Sender ID that begins with "#Manulife." If you receive any SMS or links that appear suspicious or claim to be from Manulife, please do not reply, click, or open any links within the message.
Manulife would like to clarify that we will never request customers to provide credit card details or any sensitive personal information via email, SMS or embedded links, nor will we arrange any time-limited payment or collection requests through such means.

Waiver of Coinsurance for Prescribed Diagnostic Imaging Tests
(Applicable to Manulife First VHIS Flexi Plan) No coinsurance shall be applied if the test is performed at one of our Designated Diagnostic Imaging Centres
No coinsurance shall be applied if the prescribed diagnostic imaging test is performed at a Designated Diagnostic Imaging Centre.
Designated Diagnostic Imaging Centre was previously known as Designated Network Imaging Centre.

How does it work
1. Obtain referral letter
Visit your doctor and obtain a referral letter for the necessary prescribed diagnostic imaging tests2.
2. Make appointment
Please visit the List of Designated Diagnostic Imaging Centres appended at the right. Contact your choice of Designated Diagnostic Imaging Centre directly to make an appointment.
Inform the Designated Diagnostic Imaging Centre that you are an insured person of Manulife First VHIS Flexi Plan when scheduling your appointment.
3. Proceed to prescribed diagnostic imaging tests
Present your identification document (such as HKID card or passport) along with proof of your Manulife First VHIS Flexi Plan coverage. This proof can be your Health Card3, the policy schedule of your policy, or a digital display on the Manulife Hong Kong website or Manulife HK & MO app (after login) showing you as the insured person. Additionally, a referral letter is required at the Designated Diagnostic Imaging Centre for an eligibility check.
4. Payment
Settle the payment directly with the Designated Diagnostic Imaging Centre upon completion of the test and please keep your invoices and receipts. Please check whether the receipt indicates the use of the “preferential rate”, i.e., without coinsurance for the prescribed diagnostic imaging tests at the Designated Diagnostic Imaging Centre.
5. Submit claim and assessment
Submit your claim with the invoices and receipts. You can refer to the individual insurance claims procedures.

Notes
a. For policies effective on or after July 1, 2025: the waiver of coinsurance for prescribed diagnostic imaging tests is part of the product feature of Manulife First VHIS Flexi Plan
b. For policies effective before July 1, 2025: this service will be available only from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026 (both dates inclusive). Please refer to this service leaflet for details.
Prescribed diagnostic imaging tests include computed tomography (‘CT’ scan), magnetic resonance imaging (‘MRI’ scan), positron emission tomography (‘PET’ scan), PET-CT combined and PET-MRI combined.
Health Card shall mean the digital health card issued by Manulife to the insured person.
Remarks
For the avoidance of doubt, undergoing the prescribed diagnostic imaging tests at Designated Diagnostic Imaging Centre (previously known as Designated Network Imaging Centre) does not imply any expenses or diagnoses associated with these services are covered in any of your insurance policy(ies).

Terms and conditions
The Designated Diagnostic Imaging Centres are not operated by Manulife or Manulife’s agents or employees. Manulife is not the agent of the Designated Diagnostic Imaging Centres and accepts no responsibility or liability for the quality and availability of the services, or for any advice provided through the services. Manulife shall not be liable or responsible for any acts or omissions of a Designated Diagnostic Imaging Centre in the provision of such services.
Manulife is not responsible for maintaining any medical information of the insured person in relation to services provided by the Designated Diagnostic Imaging Centres. Any information disclosed to the Designated Diagnostic Imaging Centres by the policyholder or insured person shall not constitute any actual, constructive, or deemed knowledge of Manulife of the same, and shall not affect Manulife’s right to contest any other policies Manulife issued/to be issued to the insured person, unless such information has actually been disclosed to Manulife or Manulife has actual knowledge of such information.
The list of Designated Diagnostic Imaging Centres is available on Manulife’s website. The list may be varied, updated and amended from time to time at Manulife discretion without prior notification. Any change shall be deemed as effective as of the effective date as stated on the list.
For detailed terms and conditions relating to ‘Waiver of Coinsurance for Prescribed Diagnostic Imaging Tests performed at a Designated Diagnostic Imaging Centre’, please refer to Part 2 in the Supplement for Enhanced Benefits under the policy provisions of your Manulife First VHIS Flexi Plan policy.
