Manulife has recently identified fraudulent SMS messages claiming to be from “Manulife” or “宏利”. These messages claim that the recipient has taken out a savings insurance policy and that a payment will be deducted from an account in the recipient’s name. They also provide a suspicious phone number and encourage the recipient to call for enquiries or cancellation. Please note that these SMS messages and their contents are fraudulent and were not issued by Manulife. 

If you receive any SMS message or link that appears suspicious or claims to be from Manulife, please do not reply to the message, call the phone number provided in the message, click on or open any links within the message, or provide any personal or financial information. Please delete the message immediately.

Manulife will only send SMS messages to Hong Kong mobile numbers using a Registered SMS Sender ID that begins with "#Manulife".

In addition, Manulife will never ask customers to provide credit card details or any sensitive personal information via SMS, email or embedded links, nor will we make any time-limited payment collection arrangements through such channels.

Protect your personal data by keeping your Manulife customer website login password safe and change your password regularly. Manulife will never call you or send any SMS/email asking for your Manulife customer website login password. Stay vigilant for suspicious phone calls, emails, websites, apps and hyperlinks embedded in instant electronic messages, etc. allegedly related to Manulife. If you receive any calls claiming to be from Manulife, authenticate the caller’s identity (e.g. full name of the advisor and his/her Insurance/MPF Intermediary License No. or full name of the Manulife customer service officer). If the caller refuses to disclose such information, please do not continue with the conversation. Also, if you notice any suspicious transaction activities in your account with Manulife, or any account that is under your name but not set up by you, please inform us immediately. ManuBright Care 2 is designed to provide well-rounded critical illness protection, so that you can count on continuous support on the road to recovery!

Multiple safeguards for more well-rounded protection

Covers 60 major critical illnesses, including cancer, heart attack (myocardial infarction) and stroke, 44 early stage critical illnesses, such as carcinoma-in-situ and early thyroid cancer, as well as 8 juvenile diseases1 such as severe asthma.

For ICU stays of 3 consecutive days or longer, the protection extends to designated and non-designated illnesses as well as injuries 2.

After the first major critical illness claim, the plan provides continuous protection with extra 2 times for heart attack/stroke and extra 2 times for cancer (including newly diagnosed, recurrent, metastatic and persistent cancer) 2.

Extra 100% protection if daily living is severely affected after a critical illness2.

It does not form part of the policy and does not contain full terms of the policy. You should read the policy provisions for the exact terms and conditions that apply to this product.   1. The juvenile disease CI benefit is available if the policy is issued before the life insured reaches the age of 16 and the life insured is diagnosed with a juvenile disease before the age of 18.
  2. The ICU benefit, continuous care benefits and disability care booster are subject to terms and conditions, please see the product leaflet and policy provisions for details.
  3. We guarantee that the basic plan premiums for the initial basic plan notional amount remain unchanged throughout the premium payment period. However, we do not guarantee that the premium and guaranteed cash value due to an increase in the basic plan notional amount, including those increases triggered by using the inflation protector option.

Diagnosis or treatment performed in mainland China:

For major critical illness, early stage critical illness, juvenile disease and Such Disablement diagnosed in mainland China, we will only recognize the diagnosis made by a specialist medical practitioner of a hospital on the list of designated hospitals in mainland China we publish. For Qualified ICU Stay in mainland China, we will only recognize the hospital which is included on the list of designated hospitals in mainland China we publish. We may revise the list of designated hospitals in mainland China from time to time without giving prior notice.
