Manulife Hong Kong and Macau has recently identified fraudulent emails impersonating our company. The sender shown in these emails is: 香港MAFIEL <mafiel.sunwg-warpservices.co.za@shared1.ccsend.com>. Please note that these emails and their contents were not issued by Manulife.

The emails claim that a “premium recalculation has been completed” and that a credit balance is available for withdrawal. Recipients are asked to select a payment method via an online platform within 12 hours, failing which the amount will become invalid.

If you receive such emails, please do not click on any links or provide any personal or financial information, and delete the email immediately.

We have also observed similar fraudulent attempts through SMS. Please be cautious of suspicious SMS messages. Manulife will only send SMS to Hong Kong mobile numbers using a Registered SMS Sender ID that begins with "#Manulife." If you receive any SMS or links that appear suspicious or claim to be from Manulife, please do not reply, click, or open any links within the message.

Manulife would like to clarify that we will never request customers to provide credit card details or any sensitive personal information via email, SMS or embedded links, nor will we arrange any time-limited payment or collection requests through such means.

Protect your personal data by keeping your Manulife customer website login password safe and change your password regularly. Manulife will never call you or send any SMS/email asking for your Manulife customer website login password. Stay vigilant for suspicious phone calls, emails, websites, apps and hyperlinks embedded in instant electronic messages, etc. allegedly related to Manulife. If you receive any calls claiming to be from Manulife, authenticate the caller’s identity (e.g. full name of the advisor and his/her Insurance/MPF Intermediary License No. or full name of the Manulife customer service officer). If the caller refuses to disclose such information, please do not continue with the conversation. Also, if you notice any suspicious transaction activities in your account with Manulife, or any account that is under your name but not set up by you, please inform us immediately. How we got you covered?

Covers 104 CIs, 8 juvenile diseases1 and CIs arising from congenital conditions undetected at policy issue.

We will pay a protection restores benefit2 for the benefit paid for early stage critical illness and juvenile disease if the insured has a major critical illness or passes away before age 75.

Cancer, heart attack / stroke and other independent major CIs diagnosed before age 85 are additionally covered twice for each of them.

Provides additional financial support when the covered parents or children are diagnosed with a designated CI, with no underwriting required4.

Waives the basic plan premium if you or your spouse passes away or after the claim of any major CI.

Premium is guaranteed and will not increase throughout the premium payment period5

Achieve specified average daily step target, and you will enjoy a premium discount of up to 10% upon policy renewal for the next membership year.

  1. Juvenile disease CI benefit is available if the policy is issued before the life insured reaches the age of 16 and the life insured is diagnosed with a juvenile disease before the age of 18.
  2. The amount of protection restore benefit is the amount of early stage critical illness benefit and / or juvenile disease critical illness benefit paid under the plan where the date(s) of diagnosis of the early stage critical illnesses and / or juvenile diseases fall(s) at least 1 year before the date of diagnosis of the subsequent major critical illness or the date of death.

  5. We guarantee that the basic plan premiums for the initial basic plan notional amount remain unchanged throughout the premium payment period. However, we do not guarantee that the premium and guaranteed cash value due to an increase in the basic plan notional amount, including those increases triggered by using the inflation protector option.
