Manulife Hong Kong and Macau has recently identified fraudulent emails impersonating our company. The sender shown in these emails is: 香港MAFIEL <mafiel.sunwg-warpservices.co.za@shared1.ccsend.com>. Please note that these emails and their contents were not issued by Manulife.

The emails claim that a “premium recalculation has been completed” and that a credit balance is available for withdrawal. Recipients are asked to select a payment method via an online platform within 12 hours, failing which the amount will become invalid.

If you receive such emails, please do not click on any links or provide any personal or financial information, and delete the email immediately.

We have also observed similar fraudulent attempts through SMS. Please be cautious of suspicious SMS messages. Manulife will only send SMS to Hong Kong mobile numbers using a Registered SMS Sender ID that begins with "#Manulife." If you receive any SMS or links that appear suspicious or claim to be from Manulife, please do not reply, click, or open any links within the message.

Manulife would like to clarify that we will never request customers to provide credit card details or any sensitive personal information via email, SMS or embedded links, nor will we arrange any time-limited payment or collection requests through such means.

Beware of scams! Do not provide bank, credit card, investment, insurance and MPF account or other key personal information via hyperlinks embedded in suspicious messages purported to be coming from our institution!

Protect your personal data by keeping your Manulife customer website login password safe and change your password regularly. Manulife will never call you or send any SMS/email asking for your Manulife customer website login password. Stay vigilant for suspicious phone calls, emails, websites, apps and hyperlinks embedded in instant electronic messages, etc. allegedly related to Manulife. If you receive any calls claiming to be from Manulife, authenticate the caller’s identity (e.g. full name of the advisor and his/her Insurance/MPF Intermediary License No. or full name of the Manulife customer service officer). If the caller refuses to disclose such information, please do not continue with the conversation. Also, if you notice any suspicious transaction activities in your account with Manulife, or any account that is under your name but not set up by you, please inform us immediately. Support your living expenses with a monthly income.

You can choose how long to pay premiums for; how much to receive per month; when to start receiving your income and until when1.

You can realize up to 50% of the terminal bonus by exercising the realization option2 to lock in your gains.

If a severe stroke, kidney failure or Parkinson’s disease is diagnosed, your guaranteed monthly income will be as much as doubled3,4.

There’s no need for a medical examination or health questions.

ManuDelight Annuity Plan is an insurance product provided and underwritten by Manulife (International) Limited. The above provides only general information on this product for your reference only. Please download the product leaflet now or ask your Insurance/Financial Advisor for a copy which will give you more details about this product including the ‘Important Information’ showing the product risks.

  1. You’ll have the flexibility to move forward or postpone the start of your monthly income, as long as your policy has been paid up and before your income period starts. Your monthly income will then be re-calculated based on your new income start age, which can be anywhere from age 55 to 70.
  2. You  can exercise the realization option within 30 days starting from the Realization Anniversary (that is, the earlier of 20th policy anniversary or the Earliest Income Start Age (see Remark 4), and every policy anniversary thereafter), up to 2 times on each policy as long as the aggregate realization percentage of the two exercises shall not exceed 50%. Exercise of the realization option will reduce any subsequent non-guaranteed benefits including the future terminal bonus and hence the non-guaranteed monthly income.
  3. The guaranteed monthly income will be doubled starting from the next monthly income payout after the diagnosis of severe stroke, kidney failure or Parkinson’s disease (‘designated illnesses’). If the income period has not started, you can exercise the option to change the income start age up to the Earliest Income Start Age (see Remark 4). It is subject to the maximum total amount of US$5,000 or HK$40,000 per month of the same or similar benefits we will pay under all insurance policies covering the same life insured and issued by us. Please see the policy provision for the definition of the respective designated illnesses and the circumstances that we will/will not pay the benefit amount of Extra Income Protector. Upon the death of life insured or termination of the policy (whichever is earlier), the Extra Income Protector will be terminated. The Extra Income Protector can only be claimed once per policy.
  4. Earliest Income Start Age for the policy is the age after the basic plan has been paid up or age 55, whichever is later.
