Manulife has formed a long-term strategic charity partnership with the emotional education charity organization JUST FEEL. This collaboration aims to work closely with partner schools to build a Compassionate School Culture among students, teachers, and parents, creating a systemic impact. It is expected to reach over 100 Primary Schools and 150,000 students, teachers, and parents cumulatively.
This effort aligns with one of the key commitments of Manulife's "Impact Agenda," which is dedicated to empowering sustained health and well-being within the community. Maintaining health and promoting a quality life are crucial to individual well-being and the sustainability of communities, deeply affecting all aspects of our lives. By enhancing students' emotional well-being and cultivating a Compassionate School Culture in schools, this collaboration aims to advance community health and make a positive impact on promoting quality living.
5 Major Collaboration Plans:
Hong Kong’s first “My Flag Day”
Manulife has been committed to supporting mental and emotional well-being. We are proud to co-host Hong Kong’s first-ever “My Flag Day” with JUST FEEL on October 18 (Sat). This meaningful initiative encourages the public to care for themselves by recognizing and expressing their emotions — further reinforcing our commitment to emotional wellness.
Date: October 18, 2025 (Saturday) Morning
Location: Area such as Causeway Bay, Kowloon Bay, Tseung Kwan O, Yuen Long and Tai Po.
Unlike traditional flag days that focus on fundraising, “My Flag Day” invites people to choose and wear a “Feeling Flag” — designed by local primary school students — that represents how they feel in the moment: happy, excited, angry, warm, sad, or scared. These flags reflect both positive and negative emotions, reminding everyone that feelings are not right or wrong — they deserve to be heard, accepted, and understood.
Emotional Interactive Exhibition
During April 24 to April 29, 2024, Manulife and JUST FEEL exhibited outstanding student works from the "My Flag Day" Flag Paper Design Competition to the public at Atrium, Level G, Kai Tak Mall 2. The Emotional interactive Exhibition featured 5 emotion-themed interactive installations, including "Reflection Station", "Needs Station", "Sharing Station", "Care Station", and "Signal Station". The public can not only take photos for memories but also become more aware of their emotional well-being and that of their friends and family.
"My Flag Day" Flag Design Competition
Emotions are neither right nor wrong. Manulife and JUST FEEL co-organized the "My Flag Day" flag design competition, inviting primary school students across Hong Kong to participate. Through creativity and design, the competition encourages students to understand, accept, and express both positive and negative emotions, avoiding suppression.
The "My Flag Day" flag design competition involved more than 50 primary schools and 2,700 students. Flags will be distributed to the public at the "My Flag Day" event at the end of the year, helping more people understand and accept their emotions.
