Manulife eClaims – We Make Claims Simple!

With our eClaims online medical claim service, individual and group medical policy customers1 can make claims for outpatient expenses not exceeding HKD1,200 and hospitalization expenses not exceeding HKD3,0002. Claims can be approved in as little as a few minutes. We’ll even provide SMS updates on the status of their claims.

A submission can be made in 3 simple steps and 1 minute. No app to download, no password login, no form to fill out3, and no need to submit original documents4.

Find My Doctor5

We provide comprehensive information on doctors for selected group medical policy customers. You can also search by location, medical specialty, etc. The doctor’s name, clinic address, location map, phone number and office hours are all included for your easy, at-a-glance reference!

If you are a selected group medical insurance customer, you can simply download and use your medical card at the doctor’s office. No more worries about losing or forgetting to bring your medical card from now on. Other benefits include:

  1. Applicable to individual and insured member of group medical policies only. Manulife may, without prior notification, offer or suspend the service at its discretion.
  2. For outpatient: each receipt amount up to HKD1,200. Outpatient claims cover consultations with general practitioners or specialists, Chinese medical practitioners, x-ray and laboratory fees, etc. For hospitalization: each receipt amount up to HKD3,000; hospitalization claims cover hospitalization or outpatient surgery, pre- and post-hospitalization care, etc.
  3. Applicable to outpatient claims only.
  4. Please keep your original receipts and documents for 90 days upon completion of the claim as we may request them for verification.
  5. For use by Manulife group medical insurance customers searching for doctors in the Manulife network.
  6. For use by Manulife group medical insurance customers during their consultations with doctors in the Manulife network.

The VHIS Office recently discovered a translation error in the Chinese version of the Schedule of Surgical Procedures of the Certified Plan Policy Template. In the fracture/dislocation section of the Surgical Schedule, “clavicle” on the 8th and 12th items was mistranslated as “scapula” and “scapula” on the 13th item was mistranslated as “clavicle”. Manulife has reviewed and revised the relevant product information of Manulife’s VHIS certified plans upon the VHIS Office’s request, and has revised the Chinese version of the certified plans’ policy provisions accordingly.
