What is Manulife Bright Care PRO?

With Manulife Bright Care PRO, you will enjoy the well-rounded protection against up to 123 critical illnesses and diseases with extra protection against cancer, heart attack (myocardial infarction) and stroke. In case a late stage cancer is diagnosed, you will have the extra financial support for overseas or non-conventional treatment for late stage cancer, allowing you to focus on getting well without worrying about your finances.

The plan can also help you protect your children against critical illnesses and 19 juvenile diseases, including Autism, Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Tourette Syndrome. It also comes with a parental compassionate premium waiver as added financial support when misfortune happens.

How we got you covered?

Coverage for up to 123 critical illnesses and diseases including 60 major critical illnesses, 44 early stage critical illnesses and 19 juvenile diseases. Stays in Intensive Care Units (ICU)1 are also covered even arising from unknown diseases

  • Extra 2 times for cancer (including newly diagnosed, recurrent, metastatic and persistent cancer)
  • Extra 2 times for heart attack/stroke

Coverage for up to 20% of the notional amount of the late stage cancer treatment:

  • Overseas Non-surgical Cancer Treatment3
  • Overseas Cancer Surgery3
  • Off-label Cancer Drug Treatment
  • Clinical Trial Drug Treatment

The plan offers parental compassionate premium waiver, which waive all future premiums of the basic plan until your child reaches the age of 25 if misfortune happens.

The premium you pay is guaranteed and will not increase throughout the premium payment period.

Please download the product leaflet now or ask your Insurance/Financial Advisor for a copy which will give you more details about this product including the ‘Important Information’ showing the product risks.

  1. Stay in ICU for 3 consecutive days or more is required.
  2. The statement we have made about this feature / benefit being ‘first-in-market’ is based on comparing it with other publicly available critical illness plans issued by Hong Kong’s major life insurance companies for individual customers as at 24 July, 2023.
  3. Must be performed outside the life insured’s place of residence.
  4. We guarantee that the basic plan premiums for the initial basic plan notional amount remain unchanged throughout the premium payment period. However, we do not guarantee that the premium and guaranteed cash value due to an increase in the basic plan notional amount, including those increases triggered by using the inflation protector option.
