What is Hospital Income Benefit?

This supplementary benefit is designed to alleviate the life insured’s financial pressures while they stay in a hospital. If their regular income is interrupted during hospitalization, this supplementary benefit provides them with a daily cash benefit.

How has our hospital insurance got you covered?

Flexible daily income

Choose the amount of the daily cash benefit according to your needs, starting from HKD200 up to HKD2,000, up to 1,000 days.

Immediate cash for medical expenses

During the life insured hospital confinement, we’ll provide a daily cash benefit for you to meet medical or household expenses.

Doubled benefit for intensive care

We will double the daily cash benefit and pay it for up to 90 days if the life insured has to stay in an intensive care unit.

'No claims' bonus

For each previous year if no Daily Cash Benefit and Intensive Care Benefit have been paid, Daily Cash Benefit and Intensive Care Benefit will be increased by 10% of Benefit for each succeeding year of coverage, up to a maximum of 50% of the Benefit.

Compassionate death benefit

We’ll pay 10 times the daily cash benefit if the life insured passes away and double this benefit for an accidental death.
