- Emergency cash: An emergency fund has been established to help impacted customers residing in Wang Fuk Court settle immediate, essential expenses of HK$5,000 per person.
- Case management: Our case management team will assist customers residing in Wang Fuk Court who are hospitalized with subsequent treatment and rehabilitation.
- Expedited claims and waived documentation: A dedicated team is ready to fast-track claims, and certain documentation requirements involving affected customers have been waived to simplify and accelerate the process.
- Coverage continuity: For affected customers with overdue premiums, policies will remain active to ensure uninterrupted insurance coverage during this difficult time.

    Inclusion of value-added taxes and goods and services taxes as Eligible Expenses under VHIS Certified Plans

    With respect of any Eligible Expenses under the VHIS Certified Plans incurred on or after 1 March 2022, Eligible Expenses shall include value-added taxes and goods and services taxes (“VAT and GST”) (if any) charged or imposed on the relevant medical expenses incurred, subject to the Terms and Benefits applicable in the relevant Certified Plans. The relevant Supplement will be sent to all policy holders concerned upon policy renewal.

    Inclusion of public hospitals and private hospitals in Hong Kong in the definition of Hospital under VHIS policy terms & conditions

    With effect from 1 April, 2023, the definition of "Hospital" in Part 8 "Definition" of your VHIS policy terms and conditions shall be refined to make clear that it shall include public hospitals as defined in the Hospital Authority Ordinance (Cap. 113 of the Laws of Hong Kong) and hospitals for which a licence is issued under the Private Healthcare Facilities Ordinance (Cap. 633 of the Laws of Hong Kong), subject to other conditions of (b), (c) and (d) in the definition. The relevant Supplement will be sent to all policy holders concerned on or before the respective policy renewals from 1 April 2023.

    1. Pre-existing condition(s) shall mean, in respect of the insured person, any sickness, disease, injury, physical, mental or medical condition or physiological degradation, including congenital condition, that has existed prior to the policy issuance date or the policy effective date, whichever is the earlier. An ordinary prudent person shall be reasonably aware of a pre-existing condition, where - (a) it has been diagnosed; (b) it has manifested clear and distinct signs or symptoms; or (c) medical advice or treatment has been sought, recommended or received. The Company may impose case-based exclusion(s) to the pre-existing condition(s) notified to the Company in the application for the plan and any subsequent information or document submitted to the Company for the purpose of the application.
      Unknown pre-existing condition(s) refers to any pre-existing condition(s) that the policy holder and/or insured person was not aware and would not reasonably have been aware of at the time of application. Please refer to the policy provisions for the full terms and conditions.
    2. ManulifeMOVE is not part of the VHIS certified plan.
    3. In the event that any benefit under the policy for a policy year that falls in the no claim period becomes payable after the health discount has been applied to the premium, the health discount shall be recalculated for all policy years subsequent to such benefit. The policy holder shall repay to the Company the difference between the health discount actually provided by the Company and the recalculated health discount to be entitled immediately upon the Company's demand. The aforesaid description and the health discount table are for general information only. You should read the policy provisions for exactly how the health discount is calculated and given.
    4. Tax deduction for the qualifying premiums paid under VHIS policy (not including levy) will be based on the premiums paid after deducting the premium discount (if any).
